Yep, I'm tired. So very tired. I stayed up with Amber as she worked on a project for Hamline and read and occasionally poked her shoulder to keep her awake. Fun times. Meanwhile work continues to wind towards a close. Life stays interesting. I had a small windfall of monies show up which were going to get dumped into some musical goodies such as repairing my amp and old guitar and possibly investing in a MOTU 828mkII (go to motu.com if you are so inclined and check it out). Instead I spent it on car insurance a parking ticket I didn't have time to fight a visit to the dentist and some other random doctors bills. The worst part is the check hasn't even cleared yet! Sheesh. I think my dreams of getting a little propatah are a bit premature. I'd probably do something bright like forget to pay my morgage and get the damn thing forclosed on me… Oh well just gotta hit that lotto and retire at 23. I was thinking if something like that ever did happen I would go back to school. That'd almost be fun now. Maybe go to a trade school for graphic design or recording. Well they can't fire me cause I quite, but I wouldn't mind working all the way to Friday so I'll catch you all later as I go spin my hamster wheel.

You gotta say that title just right to realize how dumb it is. Well if you haven't stopped reading yet that's probably grood. I'm just wrapping up another exciting day on my run to the end of my tenure here at good ol' CA. I'm actually going to miss this place. Oh well such is life. I'll be in Hudson tomorrow cranking away on the new job. They've got stuff for me to do and I'm eager to do it. They might even have my first pay check waiting which would certainly be a welcome shot in the arm for the ol' finances. I'll be getting paid like clockwork every other Wednesday which to a certain extent is to be preferred over the current 5 and 20 method where if the 5th or 20th hit a weekend they pay early and we end up with larger gaps in some cycles–which isn't terrible per say. My cash management skillz however–like my nun-chuck skillz–have always been poor at best and only militant cash inflow regulation can help me hone them to the point where I can become h. owner. Oh yes my new obsession is ownzering a home of my own. I don't think this can happen too soon, but man I'd sure like it too. I actually found an awesomely located condo here in St. Paul that would almost be within range were Amber and I currently hitched and such… However that event is still quite a ways off in the unplanned future so this is really is premature on my part, but it fills the time nicely. I restrung the ol' 6 string for practice tonight and I'm pumped for that. Oh and my smile just added a little more silver to the underside this morning which means I'm in a great mood (ooh that N2O). I think I'm going to crash soon in a big way, but it's five pm so oh well. Night all!

If PeteGuy ever returns from DC the subject is the title for a song he's been working on that I would love to finish and perform… Meanwhile I'm down to my last 8 days of working here at good ol' Champeeeeen Era and I do have to say I'll miss this place when I'm gone, but having said that, I'm super pumped about my new work opportunity. More on new job in a future post. I have been a busy beaver these last few weeks. A good rule of thumb is that the less I post the more that is going in my life and the more I should be posting so that people I don't see everyday can actually know what the fuck I'm up to these days–assuming they've been wondering wtf I'm up to these days.
I've been practicing with Ben and his brother Matt lately and that's been pretty fun. We're going to add another fella by the name of Zach pretty quick and start working towards a playable set, but I'm guessing it'll be a while before we're that tight. That said Ben's and excellent bass and guitar kinda guy and his brother is an excellent percussion sorta fella and we're having an excellent time so the word of the day is EXCELLENT!
Wednesday however, the word is BOGUS! I have to get the ol' drill treatment at 7:00AM before work… On the plus side I finally saw the ol' doc about the digestive and he did a lot of tests (I actually told him no on the Keagan treatment and he acquiesced which made me wonder how important that actually was if I could just say I'd rather not and he'd say OK). The result of some blood work and me drinking a Barium smoothy was the news that I need more B vitamins and fiber and all my worries would go slowly on their way. So I'm on the pills as it were and we'll see where they take me, but overall it makes me glad I finally went and got that taken care of already.
I saw both Dan and Shawn this weekend and my buddy Holly whirled through town as well which resulted in me being hung over at work Friday while the email server put its head between its legs and kissed its virtual ass goodbye. It's doing a slow repeat of the same today so I need to get back in the soup. Still it was nice seeing everyone and I wanted to get that in this manifesto before I had to dive back in.
later all,
Special Gift
