Perhaps man should like it better. Man also has to cut back on wanton intake… Hurray for C. Restaurant under free wireless. Buffet plus lj equals good way to kill a lunch hour. I finally found and bought THE amp for me. A kick-ass 1967 Fender Bassman Head (Circuit AB165 for any who might actually care) Sure it's the later blackface with the solid state rectifier vs. the tube ones for that ever so slightly sweeter sound of earlier bassmans. Oh well… I'm sure other people will tell me there are more reasons than just that for the change, and I won't argue with you it's just an obvious difference to me, I'm sure there are a ton more… I should get back to the office quick as I've been going a little short hours wise this week. I haven't felt well and have been getting in around 8:30 and actually leaving at 5… shocking! I hope that last weekend makes up for it, but who the hell knows. I guess my next paycheck will. Alright, I gotta run. Later folks!

Look what we have here. I really shouldn't spend too much time on this cause I forgot to write down when I went to lunch and don't want to have to fudge too much when I go back. I'm feeling reasonably solid that I left around 1:45, but shit. I dunno. Anyhow. I'm down the street at a coffee shop that sits under a happily unsecured wireless network. Hoorah! Free interweb for everyone.
So I haven't read up in forever, or checked in in forever and I thought I'd post a bit. You know, for flavor, or something…
To quote Luke “the music's still inside me”. I still consider that a bit silly, but I suppose there's some truth to it. I'm hell bent on putting together some sort of recording setup soon. Pete home demoed The Good Time Jam and the intro to some other songs from back in the oldin' days as well as one honest to goodness brand new tune and I'm impressed enough to feel like I need to get back to work.
I've been shopping amps lately with an eye towards playing live again someday. G. Center had a real nice Blackface (think mid-60's) Fender Bassman amp with cab for about a grand, but some other lucky soul jumped on that one before I could decide if I could pay that off in a year. They also have a damn nice mid-60's tremolux head with no cabinet for about 6 hondo, but it was sound its best when I paired it with the Bassman cab and doesn't seem to sing with anything else.
Shit, I should run. Later all…
