Think Princess Bride when you read the title.
Pete and Kylie's wedding went off nicely on Saturday, but man it was a busy weekend.
Also of note: I'm more appreciative then ever that Amber's family is really laid back and seems to like the fact that my family is a little nuts.
Again, the wedding was great and the reception dinner at the church was lovely. Followed by an open mic at the Cow where Pete's brother-in-law and I murdered a cover of Little Piece of Heaven while Pete played tambourine. To be fair, we just sorta dragged him into it. It sounds like he's making a lot of progress under Pete's tutelage.
The good people at Comcast finally called the right contractor so I'll no longer be posting these little updates from work. At least, that's my hope. We shall see.
That's all for now.

I'm not really confused, but my mood might be a little. Work is cranking along nicely this morning. I got a chance to see another building where my somewhat spread out department has offices.
A note about the offices: I'm the middle of three new hires in the past 2 months and had I been the third new hire I would've been stationed in this other building which, while a bit of a hike from the main offices, is a very nice location with good space, natural light and a G5 on most desks. Now I like the iMac they gave me fine, but I really don't ever use it because it's significantly slower than my laptop. The only major use it gets is as a test machine since I have no important files to worry about on it whatsoever.
On a bummer note. I'm still mostly without internet at home. The one bright spot being I've now figured out how to use my treo's wireless-modem capabilities to get 56k access for my phone… I'm sorry this isn't a bright spot, it's a joke. I can now look at really slow downloads on a 2 inch-square screen. Aside from the novelty it's absolutely worthless.
Oh well…
I left this post half finished yesterday and it looks kind of whiny to me now. Tsk tsk. I'm taking calls on the helpline all by myself now just like a big boy. It's very exciting let me tell you. Well, exciting isn't really the right word, but whatever. It's good to be useful.
I ate lunch with Dan today at the Wok which was nice.
John: we should hang out. I'm not sure about the next two weekends because of b-party and w-wedding for Pete and I know you work late, but still we should get together and as d. riches would say “do sumthin!” Mayhaps catch a concert or flick or some such.
Luke: I know you're working now, so I imagine you won't be home much. Maybe Amber and I will finally get up to Duluth and check in on you and Mr. Barry.
Mess: You're in Iowa and I'm gone next time you're in the land of 10,000 lakes so I got nothing there right now.
Frank: You're in what I consider fly-over country. Move home.
Alright everyone that's all I had.
